These weddings were photographed across Tuscia, northern Lazio, Rome and Umbria: Renaissance villas with formal Italian gardens around Viterbo, farmhouses looking out over the lakes of Bracciano and Martignano, Roman rooftops, country abbeys. Four territories I genuinely know, each with its own light and its own season.
I work in documentary style: I follow the day as it happens and I don't rebuild it afterwards. None of these photographs was repeated, restaged or posed. If a moment is missing, it is because it did not happen.
