Cookies and local storage
The short version: this site does not track you. No profiling cookies, no analytics, no advertising pixel, and nothing for you to accept or refuse. That is why there is no consent banner in your way — it isn't needed, because there is nothing to consent to.
What the site actually saves
Two things are kept in your browser, and they stay there: nothing is sent to me or to anyone else.
The position of the exposure dial. If you choose a lighter or darker background, the site remembers it next time. Nothing more.
Whether you have already seen the opening screen. So it isn't shown again on every page in the same visit. It clears itself when you close the browser.
Whether you have already dismissed the language suggestion. When your browser is set to a language other than the one you are reading, a line appears at the top offering the other version. Once you use it or ignore it, the site stops offering it for the rest of your visit. This also clears itself when you close the browser.
Both are technical and functional. Under the Italian Data Protection Authority's cookie guidelines they need no consent — they only need to be disclosed, which is what this page does.
What the site does not do
No Google Analytics or anything like it. No Meta pixel or other advertising trackers. No social buttons loading third-party code. No embedded maps or videos. The only external connection the page opens on its own is the one for the typefaces, explained below.
External services you can choose to open
The WhatsApp button and the call button load nothing into the page: they are ordinary links. If you press them you leave this site and enter a third-party service with its own terms and its own privacy notice. Until you press them, nothing happens.
Typefaces
The typefaces on this site are served by Google Fonts. That means your browser opens a connection to Google's servers to download them, and in doing so passes on its IP address. There is no cookie and no tracking involved, but it is a connection to a third party and you ought to know about it.
It is the only external connection this page opens on its own. I am in the process of moving the typefaces onto my own server to remove even that: when it is done, this section will be rewritten.
How to clear what the site has saved
In your browser settings, under site data or local content, find this domain and delete its data. The site will carry on exactly as before, starting again from the default background.
If this ever changes
If I add analytics, or anything at all that follows visitors, a banner will appear with a genuine choice to accept or refuse — refusing as easy as accepting — and this page will be updated before that tool goes live.
